This is a commemorative silver coin for the founding of the Republic of China (with Yuan Shikai's portrait), which is also a special version of the so - called "Yuan Datou" silver coin. On the obverse side of the silver coin is the profile portrait of Yuan Shikai, with the inscription "The First Year of the Republic of China" cast above. In 1912, the first year of the Republic of China, after Yuan Shikai became the provisional president, in order to rectify the currency system and develop the economy, he decided to mint a unified currency, and the Yuan Datou silver coin came into being.
