This is the Yuan Shikai silver dollar made in the 10th year of the Republic of China. The obverse is a side profile of Yuan Shikai, with the words "Made in the 10th year of the Republic of China" cast above. It was one of the main currencies in circulation during the Republic of China period, and the minting volume and the number of existing coins in the "Yuan Datou" series were relatively moderate.
The Yuan Shikai silver dollar was first minted by the Tianjin Mint, and then successively minted by mints such as Wuchang and Nanjing. Because of its stable color and high silver content (generally around 89%), it was very popular among the people at the time and circulated widely. The Yuan Datou made in the 10th year of the Republic of China has a certain popularity in the collection market
